A branded outdoor tent in Dubai costs AED 3,450 for a 3 × 3 metre unit and AED 6,950 for a 6 × 3 — frame, printed canopy and carry packing included. That is the whole answer most people are searching for, and it is a one-off capital cost rather than a rental, because the roof can be reprinted later on the same frame. What that number does not tell you is which size you actually need, what the branding options cost you in visibility, and what else has to be on the activation alongside the tent. This guide covers all of it, with live prices from our exhibition and events collection.

The two sizes that cover almost every activation

3 × 3 metre tent — AED 3,450

The 3 × 3 outdoor tent is the standard single-unit footprint used at flea markets, sports events, community festivals and mall forecourt activations across the UAE. Built on an anodised aluminium 40 mm hex frame, it weighs 20 kg and packs down to 160 × 25 × 25 cm — which matters more than it sounds, because that fits in the back of a standard saloon car with the rear seats folded. No van hire needed for a two-person setup.

The frame uses a height-adjustment button system rather than pin-and-hole clamps, which is the detail that decides whether your team can put it up in ten minutes or spend half an hour on it. Ground-to-peak height and the span between columns are both 3 metres.

Practical capacity: a 3 × 3 comfortably holds a promotion counter, two staff and a small queue. Add a third staff member and it starts feeling crowded.

6 × 3 metre tent — AED 6,950

The 6 × 3 outdoor tent doubles the footprint for roughly double the price. It weighs 43 kg and packs to 158 × 25 × 43 cm. This is the size for a registration point, a product demo area with seating, or any activation where you need two distinct zones under one roof — sampling on one side, sign-ups on the other.

The weight is the planning constraint. At 43 kg, this is a two-person lift and a genuinely awkward one. If you are running a roadshow with multiple stops and a small team, two 3 × 3 tents placed side by side are easier to handle than one 6 × 3, cost AED 6,900 rather than AED 6,950, and give you the flexibility to split across two locations.

Branding options: where the visibility actually comes from

Both tents are supplied with branding available, and the options stack in a specific order of impact:

  • Canopy only. The roof panels and valance. Visible from a distance and in overhead photography, but at eye level from 20 metres away a visitor sees the valance edge, not the roof. This is the baseline.
  • Canopy plus backwall. The single biggest upgrade. The backwall is a vertical surface facing your audience at eye height — it does more brand work than the entire roof. Available on one side or both.
  • Canopy plus backwall plus side walls. Full or half side walls, one or both sides. Full walls give you an enclosed, air-conditionable space; half walls keep sightlines open while defining the footprint. For UAE outdoor events between October and April, half walls are usually the better call — they block low-angle sun without turning the tent into an oven.

The roof top can be reprinted using the existing frame, which changes the economics completely. A tent bought for a 2026 campaign can carry 2027 artwork for the cost of the canopy alone. Budget the frame once, the graphics per campaign.

What goes with the tent: real prices

A realistic activation budget

Three configurations that actually work, built from the table above:

Weekend market stall — AED 5,835. One 3 × 3 tent (3,450), one promotion counter (950), one medium teardrop flag (945), two foam boards for pricing and rules (490). Two staff, one car, one trip.

Mall or community activation with engagement — AED 7,340. One 3 × 3 tent (3,450), promotion counter (950), large teardrop flag (1,110), spinning wheel (725), hashtag cutout (450), social media frame (165), two foam boards (490). Dwell time roughly triples when there is a reason to stop.

Multi-day festival presence — AED 11,565. One 6 × 3 tent (6,950), promotion counter (950), two curve top flags (2,100), bunting (625), hashtag cutout (450), two foam boards (490). This is a standing presence that reads as a brand pavilion rather than a stall.

Compare that against rental. Tent rental in Dubai typically costs a meaningful fraction of the purchase price per event once branding, delivery and setup are counted — which means two or three activations a year usually justifies buying, especially when the frame can carry new artwork each campaign.

UAE-specific things to plan for

  • Wind, not rain, is the risk. Coastal Dubai and Abu Dhabi get afternoon gusts that will lift an unweighted canopy. Always use weighted legs or ground anchors, and take half walls down rather than leaving them to act as sails.
  • Season is October to April. Outdoor activations in July and August need shade plus active cooling, and most venues will require it. Plan the calendar around the cool months.
  • Venue permissions come first. Malls, community parks and public beaches each have their own approval process and their own footprint limits. Confirm the permitted size before you order — a 6 × 3 that does not fit the allocated pitch is an expensive mistake.
  • Artwork deadlines. Printed canopy and wall graphics need artwork approved well ahead of the event date. Build in a week of slack; activation dates do not move.

How to order a printed tent in Dubai

  1. Confirm your pitch size and venue rules before choosing between 3 × 3 and 6 × 3.
  2. Decide the branding level. Canopy only, canopy plus backwall, or full walls — this is where most of the visual impact is decided.
  3. Download the design guideline from the product page and build artwork on that template, not on a flat rectangle. Tent panels are shaped, and artwork placed without the template will crop badly at the seams.
  4. Supply vector artwork — AI, EPS or print-ready PDF with fonts outlined, and Pantone references for brand colours. See the print-ready artwork checklist.
  5. Approve the mock-up, then production. Delivery across Dubai and Sharjah once produced; Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates usually one day behind.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reprint the canopy without buying a new tent?

Yes — this is the main reason buying beats renting for repeat activations. The roof top can be reprinted using the existing frame, so a rebrand or a new campaign costs the graphics rather than the full unit. Keep the frame, change the skin.

How many people does it take to set up?

Two people for the 3 × 3, comfortably, in around ten minutes with the height-adjustment button system. The 6 × 3 at 43 kg is a firm two-person job for the frame alone, and three is better if you are also fitting walls. Neither requires tools.

Do I need a permit for an outdoor tent in Dubai?

It depends entirely on the location. Private premises usually need only the property owner's approval; malls, public parks, beaches and roadside locations each run their own permit process through the relevant authority or venue management. Confirm the requirement and the permitted footprint before ordering, since approved pitch sizes vary by venue.

Is it better to buy two 3 × 3 tents or one 6 × 3?

Two 3 × 3 tents cost AED 6,900 against AED 6,950 for a single 6 × 3 — effectively identical. Two units give you the option to split across locations, are far easier to transport and lift, and let you scale a single activation up or down. The 6 × 3 wins only when you specifically need one continuous unbroken span, with no centre columns interrupting the space.

What else should be on the stand besides the tent?

At minimum: something staffed (promotion counter, AED 950), something tall that is visible from 50 metres (a teardrop or curve top flag, AED 945–1,110), and something that gives visitors a reason to stop (a spinning wheel at AED 725 or a hashtag cutout at AED 450). A tent with three people standing under it and nothing to do converts poorly. Our exhibition printing checklist covers the indoor equivalent.

Which flag type works best next to a tent?

Teardrop flags hold their shape in low wind, which makes your logo readable when a rectangular flag would be hanging limp — that is why they dominate outdoor events in the UAE. Curve top and L-shape flags give you more printable area for a message rather than just a logo. Our flag types guide compares all of them with prices.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. Every price shown is VAT inclusive, so there is no 5% addition at checkout.
