Umm Al Quwain is the UAE's smallest emirate by business population, and that single fact shapes everything about how print works here. There is no commercial offset press in UAQ, so your options are a local copy shop for urgent one-offs or a Dubai press with next-day courier for everything else. The Dubai route is almost always cheaper per piece: 1,000 matt-laminated business cards are AED 119, 1,000 A5 letterheads are AED 230, and 1,000 A6 flyers on 100 GSM start at AED 105. This guide gives you the real 2026 price list, a complete small-business print kit costed three ways, realistic delivery timing to UAQ city and Falaj Al Mualla, and the two mistakes that cost UAQ businesses the most money.
Who actually buys print in Umm Al Quwain
UAQ's business mix is unusual and it matters for what you should order. The free zone has made company formation genuinely cheap, which has filled the emirate with one-person and five-person operations — consultancies, trading companies, e-commerce outfits, IT and logistics agents. Alongside them sit the older economy: aquaculture and fishing operations at the creek, the farms around Falaj Al Mualla, contracting firms, and the leisure businesses along the lagoon.
Those two groups have opposite print problems. The small free zone company needs a little of everything and gets hurt by minimum order quantities. The established trading and contracting firm needs a lot of very few things — mainly invoice books and letterheads — and gets hurt by reordering too often. The sections below deal with each.
Either way, the catalogue and the price list are the same ones a Dubai company sees. There is no small-emirate premium on the products; the only local variable is the courier charge, which you confirm per order. The full range is on our Umm Al Quwain printing page.
The UAQ small-business print kit, costed three ways
Most new UAQ companies need the same four things: something to hand a client, something to put a quotation on, something to invoice with, and something to hand out at an event. Here is that kit at three budget levels, using real store prices.
Lean — AED 494
1,000 business cards on art paper, no lamination (AED 89) + 500 A5 letterheads (AED 150) + 5 A5 one-colour NCR books (AED 265). Honest, functional, and enough to open a bank account and invoice a client. The unlaminated card is the compromise — it feels thinner and scuffs in a wallet, but it is the cheapest legitimate option on the list.
Standard — AED 643
1,000 matt-laminated 350 GSM business cards (AED 119) + 1,000 A5 letterheads (AED 230) + 5 A4 one-colour NCR books (AED 294). This is the kit we would actually recommend for a new UAQ free zone company. The matt-laminated card at AED 119 per 1,000 is the single best-value item in the catalogue — laminating costs AED 30 over the bare card and roughly doubles its working life. A4 NCR instead of A5 because most accounting software and most clients expect A4 invoices.
There is also a bundled version: the startup stationery pack (1,000 business cards + 500 letterheads + 10 NCR books) at AED 799, which is worth comparing if you want more invoice books from day one.
Client-facing — AED 1,288
1,000 business cards with matt lamination and spot UV (AED 229) + 1,000 A4 letterheads at 100 GSM + 10 A4 full-colour NCR books (AED 500) + 1,000 A5 flyers on 170 GSM glossy for proposals and leave-behinds (AED 270) + one roll-up banner (AED 190). For consultancies and anyone who pitches in person, where the card is doing real work.

The two ways UAQ businesses overspend
1. Ordering the small quantity twice
This is the expensive one. Look at what actually happens between quantity steps: 500 matt-laminated business cards cost AED 99 and 1,000 cost AED 119. You are paying AED 20 for the second 500. The reason is that most of an offset job's cost is setup — plating the press, mixing ink, making ready — and that cost is identical whether you print 500 or 5,000. Paper is the cheap part.
Flyers behave the same way. 1,000 A6 on 100 GSM are AED 105; 2,000 are AED 140. If there is any realistic chance you will need more within twelve months, the second run is almost free at the time of ordering and expensive as a separate job. Our guide to printing MOQs explains where each threshold sits.
The exception is anything with a date, a price or a person's name on it. Do not bulk-buy business cards for a team that is about to change, or flyers carrying a promotion that expires.
2. Paying for a finish that does nothing
Spot UV, gold foil and velvet lamination are real upgrades — and they are also where a first print order quietly doubles. A matt-laminated card is AED 119 per 1,000; add spot UV and it is AED 229; add gold foil and velvet lamination on a 760 micron stock and you are at AED 489. All three are legitimate purchases if the card is a sales tool you hand to buyers. For a logistics agent whose card lives in a file at a shipping office, they are not. Spend the difference on invoice books.
Delivery to Umm Al Quwain
Production time and transit time are separate, and it helps to plan them separately:
- Express and digital items: often same or next working day in production. Next-day business cards at 500 pcs are AED 149 — see the Express Printing range.
- Standard offset items: 2–4 working days in production after proof approval.
- Premium finishes: add 1–2 days for the finishing pass.
- Transit: one working day by courier from Dubai to UAQ city, the free zone, Al Salamah, Al Raas and Falaj Al Mualla.
UAQ sits closer to Dubai than the East Coast does, so the courier leg is short. The realistic planning rule is three to five working days from approved artwork to goods in hand. Confirm the delivery charge for your exact address before you pay — addressing in UAQ is landmark-based, so give a building name and a nearby landmark rather than a PO box.
How to place the order
- Choose the item and the quantity from the letterhead, flyer or business card ranges, checking the next quantity up before you commit.
- Send print-ready artwork — PDF, CMYK, 300 dpi, 3 mm bleed. The artwork checklist covers what gets sent back.
- Or use the free design service: send the logo and your text and receive a proof. Details on the design page.
- Approve the proof carefully. Check the trade licence number, the TRN, the phone number and the Arabic spelling. After approval, corrections mean a reprint.
- Confirm address and courier charge on WhatsApp, then pay and the job enters production.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver to Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone?
Yes, along with UAQ city, Al Salamah, Al Raas, Al Haditha, Al Dar Al Baida and Falaj Al Mualla. Free zone deliveries usually go to the office or to the business centre reception — give the building and unit number, and a mobile the driver can reach. Confirm the charge for your address on WhatsApp +971 52 210 0909 before ordering.
I only need 100 business cards. Is that possible?
Yes, on digital printing — 100 matt-laminated cards are AED 140. Note what that means per card, though: AED 1.40 each, against AED 0.12 each at 1,000 pieces on offset. Small runs make sense when the details are about to change or a person is about to leave. If the card is stable, 1,000 is the better buy.
What do I need on an invoice book for UAE VAT?
A compliant tax invoice needs your company name and address, your TRN, a sequential invoice number, the date, a description of the goods or services, the amount, the VAT charged and the total payable. This is why sequential numbering on NCR books matters rather than being a nice-to-have — specify the starting number when you order, especially if you are continuing a series. Consult your accountant for your own situation.
Should I order A4 or A5 invoice books?
A4 for anything a client files or an auditor reads — it matches the rest of your paperwork and leaves room for line items. A5 for delivery notes, receipts and job cards where a smaller pad is easier to carry. The price gap is small: 5 A5 books are AED 265 against AED 294 for A4.
Are prices on the site VAT inclusive?
Yes — every price includes 5% VAT, so what you see is what you pay, and a tax invoice comes with the order.
Can I reprint an old job without resending artwork?
If the job was produced before, the artwork is usually on file and a reorder is faster because there is nothing to set up or proof. Quote the previous order number on WhatsApp. If anything on the design changes — even one digit of a phone number — it is a new proof cycle, so send the change in writing.
Getting started
For most Umm Al Quwain companies the whole decision is simple: order the standard kit once, order enough of it, and skip the finishes until a client is actually looking at the card. Browse the flyer range and the letterhead range, or send your list and delivery address to WhatsApp +971 52 210 0909 (or call 052 210 0909) for a firm quote including the courier charge to your address.
