If you are buying branded mugs in Dubai, the decision that actually moves your cost is not the logo — it is the body. A sublimated ceramic mug lands around AED 8–13 per piece. A double-wall stainless travel mug sits at AED 15–40. A cork-base ceramic mug with a lid, the one that survives an office desk and looks like a gift rather than a giveaway, is roughly AED 9–13. Everything else — print method, packaging, delivery — is a rounding error next to that first choice. This guide breaks down the three families, gives you real prices from our catalogue, and tells you which one to pick for staff, clients, and events.

The three mug families (and who each one is for)

1. Ceramic mugs — the desk mug

Ceramic is still the workhorse of corporate drinkware in the UAE. It takes full-colour sublimation across the whole body, it photographs well, and it costs less than anything else that feels solid in the hand. The trade-off: it does not travel. It chips in transit, it has no lid, and nobody carries it to a meeting.

Use ceramic for office pantries, café merchandise, welcome desks, and any giveaway where the mug lives in one place. Our Personalized Coffee Mugs (325 ml / 11 oz, glossy sublimation finish) are the standard reference point at AED 8.50. For a more contemporary look, the FALLO ceramic stoneware cup has a matte outer body and a wide grip designed for shared office use, at AED 8.

2. Travel mugs and tumblers — the commuter mug

A double-wall travel mug is what people actually keep. Stainless steel inner wall, spill-proof lid, holds temperature through a Dubai commute. This is the category where your logo gets carried into other buildings — which is the whole point of branded drinkware.

Entry point is the NIMI 300 ml double-wall travel mug at AED 15 (SS304 inner wall, PP outer, spill-proof lid). At the top of the range you get things like the FORZA 360 — a 900 ml tumbler in 36% recycled stainless steel with a full 360° branding surface — at AED 33.

3. Cork-base and bamboo-lid mugs — the gift mug

This is the middle ground most Dubai marketing managers end up choosing, and for good reason. You keep the low ceramic cost and the full-colour print area, but the cork base and wooden lid make it read as a considered gift rather than a conference freebie. The cork also does real work: non-slip grip, and it protects desk surfaces from heat.

The LUCCA is a 330 ml ceramic mug with a natural cork bottom and a matching lid, at AED 9 — the best value-per-perception item in the whole mug range. The SEVILLA steps it up with a matt ceramic body and a dual-function bamboo lid that doubles as a coaster, packed in a kraft gift box, at AED 13.

Which branding method for which mug?

Sublimation — ceramic only

Sublimation infuses the ink into a coated ceramic surface. It is the only method that gives you full-colour photographic artwork, gradients, and wrap-around designs on a mug. It is also the cheapest branding per unit at volume. Restrictions: works on coated ceramic only, and the colour of the base mug affects the result — white gives you true colours, coloured bodies shift everything.

Screen printing — ceramic, stainless, plastic

One screen per colour, so a one- or two-colour logo is economical and a five-colour logo is not. Screen printing is the right call for a clean logo lockup on a travel mug or tumbler body. It is durable and dishwasher-tolerant on properly cured stock.

Laser engraving — stainless steel, bamboo, cork

Laser burns the mark into the material itself, so it never wears off. On stainless steel you get a bright, permanent contrast mark; on bamboo lids and cork bases you get a warm dark burn. No colour, one tone only — but for premium gifts this is usually the look you want anyway. It is the method to specify for anything you are giving to clients or senior staff.

UV printing — flat and gently curved surfaces

UV gives you full colour on stainless and bamboo where sublimation cannot go. Best for a logo panel rather than a full wrap.

How to choose: three real scenarios

Office refresh, 200 pieces, tight budget

Ceramic at AED 8–9 with a one-colour screen print or a sublimated wrap. Total item cost lands around AED 1,700–1,900 before branding. Pick the FALLO if you want a modern matte look, or the standard sublimation mug if you want full-colour artwork.

Client gift, 50–100 pieces, needs to feel premium

Cork-base or bamboo-lid ceramic at AED 9–13, laser engraved, in a kraft gift box. The SEVILLA already ships in a gift box, which removes a packaging line item. Under AED 20 landed per gift, and it does not look like a giveaway.

Event or conference, high visibility wanted

Travel mug or tumbler. The FORZA 360 at AED 33 exists specifically because 360° branding is worth paying for at an event — the logo is visible from any angle on a table. If the budget is tighter, the NIMI at AED 15 is the best cost-per-impression item in the range.

How to order

  1. Pick the body first. Browse Mug Printing in Dubai and shortlist two or three items in your price band. If you are also considering flasks and bottles, our customized water bottles range overlaps heavily on price.
  2. Send your artwork. Vector (AI, EPS, PDF) is ideal. For sublimation wraps, supply artwork at 300 dpi with 3 mm bleed. Pantone references help us match brand colours across methods.
  3. Confirm quantity and method. We quote the item and the branding separately so you can see exactly where your money is going. MOQs on catalogue drinkware are generally low — this is not a category where you need to commit to 1,000 pieces.
  4. Approve the digital mock-up. Nothing goes to production without your written approval of the placement and colours.
  5. Production and delivery. Delivery across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Lead time depends on branding method and quantity — engraving and sublimation on in-stock items are the fastest routes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity for branded mugs in Dubai?

For catalogue drinkware the minimums are low and depend on the branding method, because the setup cost — screens for screen printing, a jig for laser — has to be spread across the run. Sublimation on ceramic has the lowest practical minimum. Call us with your quantity before you assume it is too small; a lot of orders we run are 25–100 pieces.

Are printed mugs dishwasher safe?

Laser engraving is permanent and unaffected by dishwashing. Properly cured sublimation on coated ceramic holds up well to normal dishwasher cycles. Screen print on stainless is durable but will fade faster under repeated high-heat industrial washing. If the mugs are going into a hotel or restaurant wash cycle rather than an office kitchen, specify laser engraving.

Ceramic or stainless for a corporate gift?

Stainless, almost always — but with one exception. A cork-base ceramic mug in a gift box reads as a considered object at AED 9–13, where a cheap stainless tumbler at the same price often does not. Above AED 25, stainless wins clearly. Below AED 15, well-chosen ceramic wins on perceived value.

Can you print a full-colour photograph on a mug?

Yes, on coated ceramic via sublimation. That is the only mug process that reproduces photographic images and gradients properly. On stainless steel and bamboo, UV printing gives full colour on a defined panel but not a seamless wrap.

How far in advance should I order for a December event?

Book branded drinkware by mid-October. September to December is the busiest window in the UAE corporate gifting calendar — UAE National Day, year-end client gifts, and exhibition season all compete for the same production slots. See our Sept–Dec season guide for the full timeline.

Do prices include VAT and delivery?

Listed prices are VAT inclusive. Delivery is quoted with your order and depends on quantity and emirate; Dubai deliveries are the fastest, with Sharjah and Abu Dhabi typically adding a day.
