Glass, wall and floor branding in Dubai is priced by area, not by piece. Current rates: frosted privacy film from AED 30/m², one-way vision window graphics from AED 110/m², floor graphics from AED 95, wall decals from AED 75 and pillar wraps from AED 145 — all VAT inclusive, with installation available as an add-on. This guide explains which film goes where, what each one actually does, what installation adds, and how to measure your space before you ask for a quote.

The three surfaces, and what each one is for

Most Dubai offices, clinics and retail units end up branding all three surfaces, but they solve different problems:

  • Windows and glass partitions — privacy, daylight control and shopfront advertising. This is where the most product choice exists, because a glass panel can be frosted, printed, perforated or left clear with vinyl lettering.
  • Walls and pillars — brand presence and wayfinding. Large flat colour, a logo wall behind reception, or a full-height pillar wrap in a mall unit.
  • Floors — attention and direction. Floor graphics are the only branding people physically walk over, which makes them unusually effective for promotions, queue management and directional arrows.

Window and glass film: the full range with prices

Glass is where the decision matters most, because the wrong film either blocks light you wanted or reveals a meeting you wanted private. Prices below are per square metre, VAT inclusive, from the window sticker branding collection.

Film What it does Supply only (AED/m²) Supply + installation (AED/m²)
Blank frosted Full etched-glass look, blocks the view both ways, keeps daylight 30 55
Gradient frosted Fades solid to clear — privacy at seated height, open above 40 65
Standard cut frosted Your logo cut from frost, rest of the glass clear 55 80
Reverse cut frosted Panel frosted, logo left as clear glass — the premium look 68 95
Printed frosted Full-colour artwork printed on frosted film 78 105
One-way vision Perforated: advert outside, see-through from inside 110 150
Clear window decal Printed graphic on clear film — opening hours, offers, logos from 85

Two rules that save money. First, frosted film is cheapest in its plain form — AED 30/m² blank against AED 78/m² printed. If you only need the meeting room to stop being a fishbowl, blank frosted does the entire job. Second, one-way vision only works with light on one side: it is brilliant on a shopfront in daylight, and it disappears at night when the interior is lit and the street is dark. Do not use it on a partition between two lit rooms.

Need one square metre, printed, without installation? The single 100 × 100 cm one-way vision panel is AED 135 with no minimum order — useful for testing a design before committing to a full shopfront. For a deeper comparison of the frosted options, see our frosted glass sticker guide.

Wall and pillar branding

Wall vinyl is the cheapest square metre of brand presence you can buy in Dubai. From the wall sticker branding collection:

Product Typical use Starting price (AED)
Wall stickers Full edge-to-edge wall coverage in offices, malls, cafés from 75
Wall decal Standard, custom edge cut-out or bordered graphics — meeting rooms, shopfronts from 75
Wall vinyl lettering Cut lettering and quotes — any size and design from 95
Pillar branding Curved column wraps in malls, showrooms and lobbies from 145

Pillar branding carries a premium for a physical reason: a curved surface needs a conformable film and a heat-gun installation, and there is more waste in the cut. Budget the same way you would for vehicle branding — the material is a minority of the cost, the skilled application is the rest.

Wall surface matters more than the film

Vinyl needs a smooth, sealed, fully cured surface. Three Dubai-specific failure modes we see constantly:

  • Freshly painted walls. Emulsion needs 2–4 weeks to cure. Apply vinyl earlier and it lifts the paint when removed — or sooner.
  • Textured or sand-finish plaster. Vinyl bridges the texture, traps air and peels at the edges within months. Either skim the wall smooth or use a printed panel mounted off the wall instead.
  • Walls under an AC vent. Constant cold air and condensation on the wall surface will beat any adhesive. Move the graphic or reroute the airflow.

Floor graphics: the specification that matters

Floor graphic stickers start from AED 95 and are printed on soft white PVC film in glossy or matt, at 110 micron, with a 160 micron floor lamination. That lamination is not optional decoration — it is the anti-slip, scuff-resistant layer that lets the graphic survive being walked on in a supermarket or mall for weeks rather than days.

Common formats from the floor sticker branding collection: directional arrows, sale and promotion callouts, brand logos at entrances, footprint trails and custom die-cut shapes with square, rounded or bordered cut styles.

Practical guidance: matt lamination is the safer choice underfoot and in photographs, glossy reads brighter on a dark floor. Keep floor graphics at least 300 mm clear of doorways and the bottom of escalators — those are wet zones and high-shear zones, and it is where floor vinyl fails first. In malls and hospitals you will usually need landlord or facilities approval before installation; ask for it at the same time you request the quote, not after the graphics arrive.

What installation actually adds

Across the frosted range, installation adds a flat AED 25–40 per square metre — for example AED 30/m² supply only versus AED 55/m² supplied and installed on blank frosted, and AED 110 versus AED 150 on one-way vision. That covers surface cleaning, application with slip solution, squeegee-out and trimming.

Self-installing is realistic for small flat panels — a logo on a single office door, a decal under 1 m². It is a bad idea for anything over about 2 m², for gradient film where a misaligned fade is immediately visible, and for any glass facing the street, where a trapped bubble is a permanent advertisement for your patience. Our installers work across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, including out-of-hours fitting for retail units that cannot close during the day.

How to order: measure, then quote

  1. Measure the area in metres. Width × height per panel, listed separately — not one combined total. Pricing is per m², and five 1 m² panels cost more to install than a single 5 m² run.
  2. Photograph each surface, straight on, with something for scale. This is how we spot a textured wall or a framed glass partition before it becomes a problem on site.
  3. Send artwork as vector (AI, EPS or PDF) wherever possible. Large-format graphics are enlarged massively — a logo pulled from a website will look sharp on your screen and pixelated at 2 metres wide. See the print-ready artwork checklist.
  4. Confirm supply-only or installed, and tell us the access hours if it is a mall or an occupied office.
  5. Production is typically 3–5 working days after artwork approval, with installation scheduled after that.

Everything above sits in the wider large format printing range, and for smaller adhesive work the sticker and label collection covers cut-size jobs.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to frost the glass in a Dubai office?

Blank frosted film is AED 30/m² supply only, or AED 55/m² supplied and installed. A typical 3 m wide × 1.2 m high meeting-room band is 3.6 m² — about AED 198 installed. Gradient film for the same panel is AED 65/m², or roughly AED 234 installed.

Can window and wall stickers be removed without damage?

Yes on glass — vinyl comes off glass cleanly with heat and a plastic blade, which is why frosted film is the standard choice for leased offices in the DIFC and free zones. On walls it depends entirely on the paint: fully cured, smooth emulsion releases cleanly, while fresh or textured paint can lift. Tell us it is a rented fit-out and we will spec accordingly.

What is the difference between one-way vision and frosted film?

One-way vision is perforated and printed — from outside people see your full-colour graphic, from inside your staff see the street. Frosted film is translucent and blocks the view in both directions while letting daylight through. Use one-way vision for shopfront advertising, frosted for privacy.

How long do floor graphics last in a high-traffic area?

With the 160 micron floor lamination, plan on 4–8 weeks in a busy mall or supermarket entrance, and several months in a lower-traffic office or showroom. Sunlight, cleaning chemicals and trolley wheels are the three things that shorten that window. For a promotion running longer than two months, budget for a mid-campaign replacement.

Do I need approval to brand my shopfront in Dubai?

Interior glass, walls and floors inside your own leased unit generally do not require an external permit, though mall and building management usually want to see the design first. Anything visible as external signage — a fascia sign, an illuminated box, lettering on the building — falls under municipality signage rules. Our signage guide covers what needs a permit and what does not.

Can you install outside working hours?

Yes. Retail and F&B installations are routinely done overnight or early morning so the unit does not lose trading time. Tell us the access window when you request the quote so it is priced in from the start rather than added later.
