Board, sizes and print
Board. Food boxes are produced on food-grade board. The custom packaging box uses 400 gsm food board — thick enough to hold its shape when stacked. Corrugated cartons use a fluted board built for transit rather than shelf display.
Size. The made-to-order cartons, packaging boxes and rigid boxes on this page are all 35 x 25 x 10 cm. If you need a different footprint, send the internal dimensions of the product going inside and we will confirm what we can produce before you order — do not measure the old box, measure the contents.
Colour. The corrugated carton and the 400 gsm packaging box listed here are priced with a black single-colour print, which is the economical choice for shipping cartons and plain retail packaging. Food boxes are printed full colour.
Artwork
Send a print-ready PDF in CMYK at 300 dpi with 3 mm bleed. For boxes there is one extra thing to get right: work on the flat die-line, not on a picture of a finished box, and keep logos and text at least 5 mm clear of every fold and glue flap, because board shifts slightly as it is creased. Ask us for the die-line before you start designing and you will not have to redraw it.
