Brochure printing in Dubai starts at AED 475 for 1,000 A4 brochures on 100 gsm uncoated stock — about 48 fils each, VAT included. On glossy 170 gsm the same quantity is AED 610, and 5,000 glossy A4 brochures cost AED 1,100, which is 22 fils a copy. The fold is included in the price: half fold, roll fold, Z fold, tri fold, quad fold and gate fold all cost the same, so the only decision that affects your invoice is size, paper weight and quantity. Production takes 4 working days after artwork approval. Here is the full price grid, plus how to pick the fold that actually suits your content.

One buying note worth catching: on B4 at 5,000 pieces, the heavier 170 gsm glossy (AED 1,260) is cheaper than 135 gsm glossy (AED 1,375). If you were planning a 135 gsm B4 run at that volume, you get a noticeably better brochure for less money by moving up to 170 gsm. Always check the grid at your exact quantity rather than assuming thinner equals cheaper.

A4 or B4 — which size

These two sizes behave very differently once folded. A4 (29 × 20 cm) is the standard: half-folded it gives a 14.5 × 20 cm booklet shape, tri-folded it gives roughly 9.7 × 20 cm panels that slide into a DL envelope or a presentation folder pocket. If your brochure will be mailed, inserted or handed out at a mall activation, A4 is the right starting point.

B4 (34 × 24 cm) is about 40% more sheet area. Tri-folded it gives 11.3 × 24 cm panels — noticeably more generous for floor plans, specification tables, property layouts or product grids. Real estate brochures, medical and clinic service lists, and industrial equipment sheets are the usual B4 candidates. The cost difference is smaller than the size difference suggests: at 1,000 pieces on 170 gsm glossy, B4 is AED 650 against A4's AED 610.

The six folds, and what each one is for

All six folds are available on every brochure in the collection at no extra charge. The terminology causes more confusion than the folding does, so here is the plain version.

Half fold (bi-fold)

One fold down the middle, four panels in total. The simplest and most forgiving fold: it gives you a front cover, two inside pages that read as a spread, and a back cover. Choose it when your content has a natural four-part structure or when you want a large uninterrupted inside spread for a photograph, a map or a floor plan. It is also the easiest fold to design if this is your first brochure.

Tri fold

Two folds, six panels, with one panel tucking inside the other. The classic rack brochure — the format you see in hotel lobbies and clinic reception areas. Tri fold suits content that breaks into three clear chunks: who we are, what we do, how to reach us. The critical detail designers miss is that the tucked-in panel must be 2–3 mm narrower than the others, or the brochure will not close flat. Tell us which fold you want at order time and we lay the panels out correctly.

Z fold

Two folds in alternating directions, six panels, concertina style. Nothing tucks inside anything, so all panels are the same width. Use Z fold when the content is sequential and the reader should see each panel in order — a step-by-step process, a timeline, a tiered price list — or when you want the fully opened sheet to work as a single poster-like surface on one side.

Roll fold

Three folds, eight panels, each panel rolling inside the previous one. It gives you the most panels while keeping a narrow finished size, which makes it good for a long story with a reveal — a property launch, a dense product catalogue in brochure form. Because each successive panel must be progressively narrower, roll fold is the least forgiving layout; send us your content and let the designer handle the step-downs.

Gate fold

Two outer panels fold inward to meet in the middle, so the brochure opens like a pair of doors onto a large central panel. This is the premium presentation fold — used for hospitality launches, luxury real estate and event invitations where the opening gesture is part of the pitch. Put your hero image on the central panel.

Quad fold

Three parallel folds giving eight panels in a narrow finished format. Practical for maps, venue directories, large tariff tables and bilingual content where you need English on one face and Arabic on the other with matching panel structure.

Choosing the paper weight

100 gsm wood free is uncoated: matt surface, no shine, and it takes pen ink — which matters if your brochure doubles as a form, an order sheet or something a sales rep writes on. At 100 gsm the sheet is light, so it folds cleanly without a bulky spine and keeps postage and insert weight down. It is also the cheapest option at every quantity.

115 to 135 gsm glossy is the middle ground: coated for colour saturation, still light enough for mass distribution and mailing. This is the usual pick for flyers-with-a-fold and high-volume handouts.

170 gsm glossy is the one that feels like a brochure rather than a leaflet. It holds its shape when handed over, does not go limp in Dubai humidity, and keeps a crisp fold. For anything a client takes away from a meeting or a trade show stand, 170 gsm is the correct answer. If you want to understand how paper weights behave generally, see our paper GSM guide.

Brochure, flyer or booklet?

These three get ordered interchangeably and they should not be. A flyer is a single unfolded sheet — cheaper, faster, right for one offer or one event, and covered in our flyer printing guide. A brochure is a folded sheet with four to eight panels — right when you have a structured story but not pages of it. A booklet or catalogue is bound, with 12 pages or more — right when you have a product range, a full company profile or a tender document.

The crossover point is content volume. If your copy and images need more than eight panels, stop folding and move to the booklets and catalogues collection, where 1,000 catalogues with a 300 gsm cover at closed A5 cost AED 3,260 and a single A4 12-page booklet for a pitch costs AED 150. How to order brochure printing in Dubai

  1. Pick size, paper and quantity from the grid above, then name your fold when you order — half, roll, Z, tri, quad or gate. The fold determines how we impose the artwork, so it cannot be changed after plates are made.
  2. Supply a print-ready PDF: CMYK, images at 300 dpi at final size, 3 mm bleed on all four edges, fonts outlined or embedded. Supply it as a flat single page per side, not as pre-folded panels, unless you have already built the panel widths correctly.
  3. Keep content off the folds. Leave 5 mm clear of every fold line and the trim edge. Logos and headlines that straddle a crease will look misaligned no matter how good the folding is.
  4. No artwork? Design is free with every order. Send copy, images and your logo and we will build the panel layout for your chosen fold and send a proof. Full file requirements are in the print-ready artwork checklist.
  5. Approve, then 4 working days. The production clock starts at final approval. Delivery across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, free on orders over AED 800 — which covers every brochure run on this page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does brochure printing cost in Dubai?

1,000 A4 brochures on 100 gsm uncoated paper cost AED 475, and on glossy 170 gsm AED 610. At 5,000 pieces, glossy A4 is AED 1,100 (22 fils each) and uncoated A4 is AED 735 (15 fils each). B4 brochures start at AED 550 per 1,000. All prices include VAT and the fold.

What is the minimum order for brochure printing?

1,000 pieces on the standard sizes. For smaller quantities, a custom brochure order can be quoted from AED 895, and for very short runs a booklet format may be more economical — a single A4 12-page booklet is AED 150. Our guide on printing MOQs in Dubai explains why the minimums exist.

Does the fold cost extra?

No. Half fold, roll fold, Z fold, tri fold, quad fold and gate fold are all included in the listed price. You just need to tell us which one before production starts.

What is the difference between a tri-fold and a Z-fold?

Both give six panels from two folds. A tri fold folds in the same direction so one panel tucks inside the other — that inner panel is cut slightly narrower. A Z fold alternates direction like a concertina, so every panel is the same width and nothing tucks in. Tri fold reads as a closed brochure; Z fold opens flat as one continuous surface.

Which paper weight should I choose for a brochure?

170 gsm glossy for anything handed to a client or used at an exhibition, because it stays rigid and holds a crisp fold. 100 gsm uncoated for high-volume distribution, inserts and anything that will be written on. 115–135 gsm glossy sits between the two.

How long does brochure printing take?

Four working days after final approval of the artwork, for every size and paper weight in the collection.

Can you print bilingual Arabic and English brochures?

Yes, and the fold choice matters for bilingual work. Quad fold and Z fold are the easiest layouts because panel widths are equal, which lets you mirror the English and Arabic structure panel for panel and bind the reading direction correctly on each face.
