Sharjah sits 30 minutes from our Dubai press, and that changes what is possible. Orders placed with approved artwork on Sunday are typically in Sharjah by Wednesday or Thursday — same week, not next. Labels start at AED 350 per 1,000, A5 flyers at AED 105 per 500, and 1,000 business cards at AED 89. This guide covers the real price list for the work Sharjah businesses actually order — packaging, labels and business print — plus the MOQs that catch people out and how manufacturers order on an LPO.

What Sharjah businesses print (and why it is different)

Sharjah's commercial base is weighted towards manufacturing, food production, distribution and light industry, concentrated around the industrial areas, Al Saja'a, Hamriyah Free Zone and SAIF Zone. The print mix follows:

  • Product labels — the single biggest category. Food, cosmetics, cleaning products and auto parts all need durable printed labels with accurate barcodes and, for food, compliant Arabic–English ingredient panels.
  • Outer packaging and cartons — corrugated shippers, printed boxes, and food-grade board for the F&B producers supplying Dubai's restaurant trade.
  • Business print for trading companies — letterheads, NCR delivery notes and invoice books, envelopes and business cards, ordered in volume and reordered on a cycle.
  • Retail and showroom print — flyers, window stickers and roll-ups for the furniture, textile and electronics showrooms along Al Wahda and King Faisal Street.

What these have in common is that they are recurring, volume-driven and cost-sensitive. Price per thousand matters more than finish, and reliability of reorder matters more than both.

Note the shape of the label pricing. Going from 1,000 to 5,000 labels at 8 × 12 cm doubles the cost (AED 410 to AED 810) for five times the quantity — the unit price drops from 41 fils to 16 fils. If you are reordering labels every six weeks, consolidating into a single larger run is usually the cheapest change you can make to your packaging budget.

The MOQs that catch Sharjah buyers out

Most frustration in packaging projects comes from minimums discovered halfway through. The honest picture:

  • Labels and stickers: 100 pieces for digital printing on small formats, 1,000 for economical roll or sheet production. Below 500 you pay mostly for setup.
  • Printed boxes: 100 pieces where a standard die exists. A genuinely custom die-cut shape carries a one-off tooling cost and usually needs 500+ to make sense.
  • Paper cups: 500 pieces per size and per design. Cups are printed on reel before forming, so a mid-run design change is not possible.
  • Offset flyers and stationery: 500 pieces. Below that, digital printing is cheaper despite the higher unit price.
  • Corrugated shippers: 100 pieces at standard sizes; larger runs bring the per-box cost down steeply.

The general rule: the cost of a print job is setup plus running. At low quantities you are paying almost entirely for setup, which is why 500 flyers cost AED 105 and 1,000 cost AED 145. Our guide to printing MOQs breaks this down process by process.

Getting labels right the first time

Labels generate more reprints than any other category, almost always for the same four reasons:

Material choice

Paper labels are cheapest and fine for dry goods in a box. Anything that sees moisture — a chilled product, a bottle, a cleaning container, an outdoor drum — needs PVC or vinyl. A paper label on a refrigerated bottle will lift at the edges within days. Our sticker material guide matches materials to applications.

Barcodes

Print barcodes at 100% scale or larger, in solid black on white, with the quiet zone intact on both sides. Never scale a barcode non-proportionally and never print it in a spot colour or over a tint. Test the scan from the proof.

Arabic compliance panels

Food and cosmetic products sold in the UAE need Arabic ingredient and origin information. Supply Arabic text with fonts outlined in the PDF — the most common label reprint we see is Arabic that reflowed because a font was missing.

Colour expectations

A brand colour that looks right on a backlit screen will print differently in CMYK, and differently again on uncoated stock versus laminated PVC. If the colour is critical to the brand, specify it and ask for a printed sample before the full run — our CMYK versus RGB explainer covers why the shift happens.

Lead times to Sharjah

  • Business cards, flyers, letterheads, labels: 2–3 working days production + same-or-next-day delivery.
  • Roll-ups, banners, signage: 3–5 working days + delivery.
  • Printed boxes with an existing die: 7–10 working days.
  • Custom die-cut packaging: 10–15 working days including tooling.
  • Printed paper cups: 10–15 working days — plan these well ahead of a launch.

Sharjah's proximity means transit is rarely the constraint; the proof approval is. A file approved Sunday afternoon and a file approved Monday morning are a full day apart in production scheduling. Further service detail is on our Sharjah printing page.

How to order

  1. Pick the product and quantity from the catalogue — flyers, stickers and labels, or custom boxes.
  2. Send artwork as print-ready PDF: CMYK, 300 dpi, 3 mm bleed, fonts outlined. For labels, include the die line on a separate layer if you have one.
  3. Confirm the specification — material, lamination, quantity and, for packaging, the flat size as well as the assembled size. Getting this written down prevents the expensive kind of misunderstanding.
  4. Approve the proof. Check barcode, Arabic text, net weight and expiry format before you sign it off.
  5. Production and delivery to your Sharjah address or free zone warehouse. Give us a gate or warehouse contact for industrial deliveries — it saves a failed drop.

Companies ordering on a cycle can set up an LPO arrangement and pay on delivery rather than at checkout; details are on the corporate accounts page.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you deliver to Sharjah?

Production is the constraint, not distance. Standard items — business cards, flyers, letterheads, labels — take 2–3 working days on press and reach Sharjah the same or next day after dispatch. An order placed Sunday with artwork already approved is normally delivered Wednesday. Urgent digital-print jobs under 500 pieces can sometimes be produced in 24 hours; ask before you order rather than after.

What is the minimum order for printed labels?

100 pieces on small digital formats, but 1,000 is where the economics work — 1,000 economy laminated labels are AED 350, while 5,000 unlaminated 8 × 12 cm labels are AED 810, or about 16 fils each. If your annual usage is predictable, order in larger runs and store them; labels do not expire.

Can you print food packaging that meets UAE requirements?

We print on food-grade board and supply the printed components — boxes, cups, wraps, labels. Responsibility for the declared content of the label (ingredients, allergens, origin, expiry format, Arabic translation) sits with you as the producer, and you should confirm the wording against current municipality requirements before approving the proof. We will print exactly what is approved, so the proof is the moment to check it.

Do you deliver to Hamriyah and SAIF Zone?

Yes. Free zone deliveries need a warehouse or gate contact name and mobile number on the order, and some zones require the recipient to arrange a gate pass for the courier. Providing that upfront avoids the most common cause of a failed delivery to an industrial address.

Is it cheaper to print in Sharjah than to order from Dubai?

For very small, very local jobs — a handful of copies, a same-hour print — a neighbourhood shop will be faster and cheaper. For anything with a press run behind it, volume determines the price far more than location. A 5,000-piece label run or 10,000 flyers is priced by press time and paper, and delivery to Sharjah adds a day at most.

Can I get a sample before committing to a large run?

For labels and stickers, yes — a short digital sample run lets you check material, adhesion and colour on the actual container before you commit to 10,000. For custom boxes we can supply a plain or digitally printed mock-up to confirm the structure and fit. Both are worth the small cost when the full run is a five-figure commitment.
