What size is an A5 envelope?
An envelope described as A5 is one that takes an A5 sheet (148 × 210 mm) unfolded. Under the ISO 269 standard that envelope is the C5 format: 162 × 229 mm. The few millimetres of extra width and height are the clearance that lets the sheet slide in without creasing at the corners.
The same C5 envelope also takes an A4 sheet folded once in half, which is why it is the most common business envelope after DL. Use it for invitations, greeting cards, A5 certificates, and any A4 letter you are happy to fold once.
Printed A5 envelopes for business
We print A5 envelopes in Dubai on wood free stock in 100 GSM and 120 GSM, full colour on one side, with your logo, return address and any regulatory line you need. 100 GSM is the everyday weight for internal and local post; 120 GSM feels noticeably more substantial in the hand and is the one to choose for client-facing mail, tenders and invitations.
Where the print can go
Front face for the logo and return address, back flap for a tagline or a second mark. Keep artwork about 5 mm clear of the glue line and the flap fold, and leave the bottom right of the front face free — that is where postal sorting marks land.
