Short answer: financial-sector gifting in the UAE is a compliance exercise before it is a marketing one. Most bank and brokerage gift policies cap the value of a single item, require it to be branded (so it reads as promotional rather than personal), and rule out anything that looks like hospitality or cash equivalent. That points to three practical tiers: under AED 50 for mass client and staff gifting, AED 50–150 for relationship managers and SME clients, and AED 150–350 for board, HNW and long-service recognition. Real options from our store start at AED 12 for a Santhome A5 hardcover notebook and run to AED 332 for a Cross ATX ballpoint — all VAT inclusive, delivered UAE-wide.
Banks, insurers, brokerages, family offices and the audit and advisory firms that serve them all buy gifts under the same constraint: a procurement or compliance officer has to be able to look at the line item and not ask a second question. That constraint is actually useful, because it eliminates most of the bad ideas before you start.
What financial-sector gift policies usually rule out
Policies differ by institution, and your own compliance team is the authority — but across the UAE market the recurring exclusions are consistent enough to plan around:
- Anything redeemable for cash. Gift cards, vouchers and prepaid cards are the first thing most policies exclude, because they are cash equivalents. This rules out the easy option and is why branded goods dominate the sector.
- Unbranded luxury items. An unbranded leather wallet is a personal gift; the same wallet with your logo is corporate marketing. Branding is what keeps it on the right side of the line, so never order the premium tier blank.
- Items above the policy cap. Caps in the UAE market commonly sit somewhere between AED 100 and AED 500 per item, often lower for anything given to a government counterparty. Check before you buy, not after.
- Alcohol and anything consumable with an unclear value. Dates and chocolate are generally fine and well received in the region (see our dates and chocolate gift box guide); alcohol is a separate conversation your compliance team will have strong views about.
- Gifts to individuals rather than organisations during an active tender, mandate pitch or audit. Timing matters as much as value.
What passes, almost universally: branded desk and writing items, branded drinkware, branded tech accessories within the cap, branded recognition awards, and curated gift sets in company packaging. That is the shape of the rest of this guide.
Tier 1 — under AED 50: mass client and staff gifting
This is the tier for branch giveaways, new-account welcome packs, staff town halls and conference delegate bags. The job is to be useful on a desk for a year, not to impress. Every item below is from our ready gift sets and corporate gifts ranges.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| BARON — Santhome Expanded A5 Hard Cover Notebook | 12 | Branch and town-hall volume giveaway |
| ATCA — eco-neutral Metal Pen with Bamboo Barrel | 17 | Sustainability-positioned institutions |
| RONDA — Stone Touch Insulated Water Bottle | 21 | Staff onboarding, wellness programmes |
| CELLE — Classic Coffee Tumbler (anti-microbial) | 22 | Desk-level daily use, high recall |
| Rfid Cardholder — multi-pocket, RCS PU | 25 | On-theme for a bank; genuinely used |
| Moda — Giftology Premium 2pc Gift Set (navy or black) | 28 | New-account welcome pack |
| Slim Card — RFID & NFC blocking aluminium card holder | 28.50 | Card-security angle, strong fit for issuers |
| REGENT — Giftology Set of Notebook, Keychain and Pen | 33 | Three-piece set that still reads as modest |

| Tulum — Santhome Gift Set, Notebook, Pen & Card Holder (walnut accents) | 49 | Top of tier 1; looks a tier above its price |
The RFID cardholder deserves a specific note. For a bank or card issuer, a branded RFID-blocking cardholder at AED 25–36 is the rare gift where the product category reinforces the institution's own message about card security. It is on-brand in a way that a branded umbrella never is. Our cardholder and wallet comparison covers RFID, leather and metal builds in detail.
Tier 2 — AED 50 to 150: relationship managers, SME and priority clients
This is where most financial-sector gifting budget actually lands: the client is known, the relationship has revenue attached, and the gift needs to feel considered without triggering a policy conversation.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| LAUTA — Giftology Set of Stainless Bottle, Notebook and Pen | 50 | Entry point for the tier; safe and useful |
| Card Stand — RFID magnetic card holder & phone stand | 51.50 | Desk presence, used in every video call |
| RUVO — CHANGE ZERO 2-in-1 Modular Hydration Gift Set | 58 | ESG-aligned, strong unboxing |
| Mag Card — RFID & NFC blocking aluminium card holder | 59 | Premium finish on the on-theme item |
| GAHWA — Hans Larsen Gift Set of 2 Premium Arabic Coffee Cups | 65 | Emirati and GCC client gifting; culturally right |
| AREZZO — @memorii 5000mAh 3-in-1 Card Holder Powerbank | 66 | Tech gift that stays within most caps |
| GIESSEN — Hans Larsen Gift Set of Tumbler, Notebook and Pen | 70 | Heavier materials than the tier-1 equivalent |
| LENZEN — CHANGE ZERO Set: Refillable Notebook, Pen & USB Keychain | 78 | Four-piece feel, sustainability story |
| Firenze — Giftology Luxeline 4pc Gift Set (navy or black) | 89 | The reliable AED 100-cap choice |

| ALMADA — CHANGE ZERO Sustainable 5pc Onboarding Gift Set | 106 | New-joiner kits for RM and analyst intakes |
| Ine Wallet — genuine leather | 125 | Leather gift that is still branded |
| AVEIRO — CHANGE ZERO Sustainable 5pc Gratitude Gift Set | 127 | Year-end client thank-you |
| Cross Calais™ Ballpoint Pen (chrome / black lacquer) | 134 | Signing-ceremony pen within most caps |
Two notes on this tier. First, the Arabic coffee cup set at AED 65 is consistently the best-received gift to Emirati and wider GCC counterparties in our experience — it is used in a majlis, it is not a desk object competing for space, and it carries no awkward value signal. Second, a Cross pen at AED 100–134 is the standard answer for a signing ceremony, and it has the advantage that the recipient recognises the brand without needing to look up the price.
Tier 3 — AED 150 to 350: board, HNW and long-service recognition
Above AED 150 you are no longer doing volume gifting; you are recognising something specific. Confirm the cap first, keep the quantity small, and brand it.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| Star Crystal Trophy | 154 | Top-performer and sales-award recognition |
| Cross Calais™ Ballpoint Pen & A5 Hardcover Notebook Gift Set | 155 | Boxed set; the classic board gift |
| Crystal Globe Trophy | 182 | Regional and international award categories |
| Ocean Bottle 3-in-1 Set | 209 | ESG-forward institutions; strong story |
| Cross Calais™ Ballpoint Pen with Notebook and Cardholder Gift Set | 210 | Three-piece executive set |
| Cross Bailey™ Medalist® 23KT Gold Plated Rollerball | 252 | Long-service and retirement gifting |
| UAE Falcon Crystal CR-10 | 280 | National Day, government and VIP recognition |
| Cross ATX® Basalt Black Ballpoint Pen | 285 | Signing pen for a flagship mandate |
| Cross ATX® Brushed Black, machine-turned diamond engraving | 332 | Top of the writing-instrument range |
For recognition specifically, crystal is the financial sector's default and for good reason: it photographs well for internal comms, it engraves cleanly with a name and a year, and it does not look like a gift the recipient could resell. Entry-level crystal starts far lower than the table suggests — 3D Rectangular Crystals at AED 21, Crystal Awards at AED 25–34, and Crystal Awards with Blue Base and Box at AED 48–63 — so a tiered awards programme is affordable at scale. Browse crystal and trophy awards, and read trophy, plaque or crystal? if you are choosing the format for a new programme.
Building a programme instead of buying ad hoc
- Get the cap in writing first. One email to compliance stating the per-item value and the category saves a returned order. Ask separately about government and regulator counterparties, where the cap is usually lower or zero.
- Standardise on two SKUs per tier, not twelve. Volume on two items beats variety across ten: you get better pricing, consistent branding, and no scramble when a client visit appears in the diary.
- Always brand the premium tier. This is the compliance point, and it is also why you are spending the money. Laser engraving on metal, debossing on leather, and doming on cardholders all work; our comparison of what each per-head budget buys shows how branding method affects the final cost.
- Order National Day and year-end stock by September. Q4 is when the whole UAE market orders at once. Branded stock on premium lines runs out, and it is the one time of year a lead time slips.
- Keep 10% buffer stock. An unplanned client visit or a new board member is the most common reason a gifting programme fails, and it costs nothing to hold a few extra boxed sets.
FAQ
What is a safe per-item value for gifting a UAE bank client?
Without knowing the specific policy, AED 50 or below is almost never a problem and AED 100 is the most common cap we see in practice. Above AED 150, confirm first. For government and regulator counterparties, assume zero until told otherwise.
Can we have our logo engraved rather than printed?
Yes. Laser engraving is standard on metal pens, cardholders, flasks and crystal; debossing is used on leather and PU. Engraving is generally the right choice for the AED 150+ tier because it is permanent and reads as more considered than a printed logo.
What are the minimum order quantities on branded gift sets?
MOQs depend on the branding method rather than the product — pad printing and engraving typically start around 50 pieces, while some premium boxed sets can be branded in smaller runs. Tell us the quantity you need and we will confirm what is possible at that volume; our MOQ guide explains the mechanics.
Are the prices above per piece or per set?
Every price in this guide is the store price for the item as listed — for gift sets, that is the price of the complete boxed set, not per component. Branding, custom packaging and kitting are quoted separately on top.
What works for long-service awards in a bank?
A two-part structure works best: a crystal or plaque for the ceremony and recognition wall, plus a personal item the recipient keeps — a Cross Bailey Medalist rollerball at AED 252 for a 20-year milestone, stepping down to a Cross Calais pen set at AED 155 for 10 years and a Firenze 4pc set at AED 89 for 5. That gives you three visibly different tiers without three separate supplier conversations.
Can you assemble and pack sets with our own insert card?
Yes — kitting, printed insert cards, branded sleeves and custom boxes are all available, and for a 200–500 piece programme it is usually worth it. Boxed options are in our custom gift box packaging guide.
Do you deliver to Abu Dhabi and the DIFC?
Yes, UAE-wide, including DIFC, ADGM, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. Free-zone specific branding requirements are covered in our DMCC, JAFZA and DIFC printing guide.
