Short answer: a construction company in the UAE needs three different branded kits, not one. A site crew kit (breathable cap, cooling towel, bottle) lands at AED 39–48 per head. A supervisor and engineer kit (UV-protection polo, tape measure, multi-tool) runs AED 68–110. A client, consultant and handover gift sits at AED 28–106. Real store prices start at AED 9 for an RPET cooling towel and AED 18 for a six-panel cap — all VAT inclusive, delivered UAE-wide.
Construction and contracting is one of the few sectors where branded merchandise has a job beyond recall. A cap on a site in July is heat protection. A cooling towel in a crew's hands in August is a welfare item that your HSE officer will thank you for. A lanyard with a reel badge is how the guard at the gate checks who is allowed on the slab. Buy for the environment first and the logo second, and the branding takes care of itself — because gear that actually gets worn is the only gear anyone sees.
Why construction gifting is a different brief
Three constraints shape every order we handle for contractors, MEP subcontractors, fit-out firms and consultancies in the UAE:
- Heat and UV, from April to October. Midday break rules mean crews are outdoors for long stretches of the morning and late afternoon. Cotton holds sweat; moisture-wicking polyester and seamless caps do not. UV-protection polos are not a marketing claim here, they are the specification.
- Dust, cement and washing. Site gear is washed hard and often. Embroidery survives that; a cheap heat-transfer print on a dark polo does not. Pay the AED 2–4 branding premium for embroidery on anything a crew wears daily.
- PPE compatibility. Anything that competes with a hard hat, hi-vis vest or safety boots is wasted money. That is why caps, towels, bottles, lanyards and compact tools dominate this list, and why bulky items do not.
The fourth constraint is headcount volatility. A contractor's site population swings with the programme, so standardise on two or three SKUs you can reorder rather than a bespoke kit you cannot repeat. Our caps and headwear range and sports and outdoor range are both built for repeat ordering.
Kit 1 — the site crew kit (AED 39–48 per head)
This is the high-volume kit: 50 to 500 pieces, issued at mobilisation or at the start of summer. The goal is heat relief plus visible branding on the one item everyone wears.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Why it works on site |
|---|---|---|
| RPET Microfiber Cooling Towel in Carry Pouch | 9 | Cheapest real heat-relief item; clips to a belt |
| BRISA — Giftology Foldable Hand Fan | 8 | Break-area and labour-camp giveaway |
| RPET Microfiber Cooling Towel in Carry Bottle | 11.50 | Towel plus carry bottle in one SKU |
| DEVON — Giftology RPET Cooling Towel in RPET Bottle 800 ml | 13 | Larger 800 ml bottle; black or white |
| FINIQ — Giftology Protein Shaker Water Bottle with Cup | 16 | Durable, wide-mouth, easy to rinse on site |
| Dubai — Premium 6-Panel Cap | 18 | Lowest-cost branded cap in the range |
| Roma Grey — High-Quality 6-Panel Cap | 21 | Neutral colour that hides dust |
| ULTRA — Santhome RPET 6 Panel DryNCool® Sport Cap | 22 | Recycled polyester, moisture-wicking |
| STORM — Santhome Textured 6-panel Cap | 28 | Textured fabric, black or grey |
| Riyadh — Breathable 6-Panel Cap | 28.50 | Mesh panels for peak-summer wear |
The practical pairing: a 6-panel cap at AED 18–22 plus a cooling towel at AED 9–13 plus a bottle at AED 16 puts a complete, genuinely useful crew kit at AED 43–51 per head before branding. If budget is tight, drop the bottle before you drop the towel — in a Dubai summer the towel is the item crews use every shift.
For orders in the hundreds, the fixed-quantity bulk SKUs price better than per-piece lines: 50 Brushed Cotton Caps at AED 250 works out at AED 5 per cap, 50 Promotional Caps in Soft Mesh at AED 320 at AED 6.40, and 50 Promotional T-Shirts in white at AED 470 at AED 9.40 per shirt. Those are the lines to quote on when you are kitting a labour force rather than an office.
Kit 2 — supervisors, engineers and QS (AED 68–110 per head)
Foremen, site engineers, QS and HSE officers are on site all day but also walk into client meetings. They need a polo that survives both, and the small tools they actually reach for.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DELPHI — All-in-One Tape Measure Kit with Levels & Screwdrivers | 9 | Best value branded tool in the catalogue |
| Tape Measure — Dual Metric/Imperial 3.5 m | 21 | Standalone tape; large logo area on the case |
| CoolTex Polo Shirts, 100% Cotton, 220 GSM | 35 | Heavier cotton polo for cooler months |
| NEXTT LEVEL Polo T-Shirts in 100% Recycled Material | 35 | Recycled-content line for ESG reporting |
| EVORA — Hans Larsen Double Wall Stainless Vacuum Bottle, 750 ml | 35 | Keeps water cold through a morning shift |
| TROPIKANA — SANTHOME DryNCool® Polo with UV Protection | 38 | The summer specification: wicking plus UV |
| BDNC — SANTHOME Polo Shirt with UV Protection | 39 | Available in men's and women's cuts |
| Santhome PRO EARTH — Fully Recycled Polo Shirt | 48 | Top of the polo range; men's and women's |
| VINGA Baltimore RCS First Aid Kit | 48 | Vehicle and site-office kit; HSE-friendly gift |
| CAMARADE — Giftology SurvivorPro Multi-Tool & Torch Duo | 50 | Night works and inspection rounds |
A UV-protection polo at AED 38–39 plus the DELPHI tape measure kit at AED 9 plus a vacuum bottle at AED 35 is AED 82 per head for a kit that looks like a company that takes its people seriously. Swap the bottle out and add the multi-tool at AED 50 if the team works nights.
Access control is the cheapest line on the whole order and the one most often forgotten: lanyards with logo and epoxy doming from AED 1.05, lanyards with hook, safety lock and buckle (20 mm) at AED 2.45, and lanyard with reel badge and safety lock at AED 3.50. Order these with the ID cards, not after.
Kit 3 — clients, consultants and handover gifts (AED 28–106)
Practical completion, a milestone payment, a consultant who signed off a difficult variation — these need a desk gift, not site gear. Keep it boxed and branded.
| Product (as listed in store) | Price (AED, VAT incl.) | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| Moda — Giftology Premium 2pc Gift Set | 28 | Volume client gifting; navy or black |
| Santhome® Panama Straw Hat | 33 | Site-visit gift for a client walking the plot |
| Tulum — Santhome Gift Set: Notebook, Pen & Card Holder | 49 | Looks a tier above its price |
| Firenze — Giftology Luxeline 4pc Gift Set | 89 | The reliable AED 100-cap choice |

Branding methods that survive a UAE site
- Caps — embroidery, front panel. Up to around 8,000 stitches covers most logos. Embroidery outlasts the cap itself and does not crack in heat. MOQ is typically 50 pieces per colourway.
- Polos — embroidery on the chest, DTF on the back. Chest embroidery for durability, a larger DTF print on the back if you want the company name readable from a distance. Our method comparison for garment branding sets out the cost difference.
- Bottles and flasks — laser engraving on steel, pad print on RPET. Engraving on stainless is permanent and single-colour; pad print handles colour logos on plastic.
- Tools and multi-tools — laser engraving. Small logo area, so supply a simplified single-colour mark rather than your full lockup.
- Lanyards — woven or dye-sublimated. Sublimation for multi-colour logos, woven for a single colour at the lowest unit price.
Don't stop at the gifts: the site itself
The highest-return branding spend for a contractor is usually not merchandise at all — it is the hoarding. A printed mesh banner on the perimeter fence is seen by thousands of people a day for the life of the project. Our fence and mesh banner guide has materials, wind-load notes and real prices, and warehouse and safety signage covers the mandatory signage, floor marking and material choices for site offices and stores.
How to order
- Send headcount by group. Crew, supervisors and office are three different kits; one number for "staff" gets you one compromise kit nobody likes.
- Send sizes for garments. For polos, a UAE site breakdown usually skews M–XL. Give us an estimate and we will build a size curve; it stops you holding 40 unwanted smalls.
- Send artwork as vector (AI, EPS or PDF). Embroidery needs a clean vector to digitise. A JPEG from a presentation adds a day and a setup charge.
- Confirm the colourway early. Cap and polo colours are the longest lead item; a specific navy may need a production run rather than stock.
- Plan for summer, order in spring. Cooling towels and breathable caps are ordered by the whole market in May and June. March and April ordering gets better stock and no rush charges.
- Keep a 10% buffer. New starters mid-project are the normal case, not the exception, and a reorder of 20 caps costs more per piece than 20 extra in the original run.
FAQ
What is the minimum order for branded caps and polos?
Embroidery typically starts at 50 pieces per colour and design, which is also where the bulk SKUs become cheaper than per-piece pricing. Smaller runs are possible on some lines with a higher unit cost — tell us the quantity and we will confirm what is available at that volume.
Which cap is actually best for summer site work?
A moisture-wicking six-panel with mesh or seamless construction. In the range that means the Riyadh breathable 6-panel at AED 28.50, the ULTRA Santhome RPET DryNCool at AED 22, or the PEAK Santhome DryNCool seamless at AED 41 if you want the top specification. Avoid heavy brushed cotton for July and August.
Can you supply hi-vis vests and hard hats?
Our branded range covers caps, garments, drinkware, tools and gift items rather than certified PPE. Certified hi-vis and head protection should be bought from a PPE supplier against the relevant standard — we will brand the non-certified layers of the kit around it, and print the site signage.
Are the prices above per piece?
Yes, unless the product name states a quantity. Where a title begins with a number — "50 Brushed Cotton Caps at AED 250" — the price is for that full quantity. All prices are VAT inclusive store prices; branding setup and any custom packaging are quoted separately.
How long does a 300-piece crew kit take?
Plan on one to two weeks for embroidered garments and caps once artwork is approved, and a few working days for towels, bottles and lanyards with pad print or sublimation. The variable is colour and size availability, not the branding — which is why early artwork approval matters more than anything else.
Do you deliver to sites outside Dubai?
Yes, UAE-wide, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, the Northern Emirates and remote project sites. For site deliveries we need a gate contact and a delivery window, since most sites will not accept an unannounced drop.
Can we split one order across several projects?
Yes. We can pack and label per project or per site so the boxes arrive ready to issue rather than needing to be re-counted — useful when one procurement order covers four active sites.
