Short answer: a Dubai courier, freight-forwarding or last-mile operation reorders five things on a cycle — NCR waybills and delivery order books, carton and shipment labels, LPO and voucher pads, driver ID lanyards, and outer cartons. Real starting points from our store: Delivery Order Books from AED 185, LPO Books AED 235, 5 NCR books A5 one-colour AED 265, 1,000 economy labels AED 350 and 5,000 plain shipment labels (8 × 12 cm) AED 810. All prices below are VAT inclusive and delivered across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Logistics print is not design-led work. Nobody admires a waybill. It has to be legible after a day in a hot truck cab, it has to carry a unique number that matches your system, and it has to be in the warehouse before the current box runs out. That changes which specs matter — and it changes how you should buy.

The five print lines every logistics company in Dubai reorders

1. NCR waybills and delivery order books

NCR (no-carbon-required) is the self-copying paper that gives you a signed original plus duplicates without carbon sheets. For courier work the standard build is 1 + 1 (original white + one copy) or 1 + 2 (white + pink + yellow) so the driver leaves a copy with the consignee, keeps one, and accounts hold the original.

Practical rules we apply on almost every job in our NCR book range:

  • A5 for driver-carried pads, A4 for office-issued documents. A5 fits a clipboard and a glovebox; A4 is right for delivery notes that get filed with an invoice.
  • Sequential numbering is not optional. Give us the start number and the range. If you run multiple branches or vehicles, split the ranges by branch (e.g. DXB 10001–12000, SHJ 12001–14000) so a missing book is traceable.
  • One colour is usually enough. Black or your brand colour on a pre-printed form reads better in poor light than full colour. Full colour only pays off when the form doubles as a customer-facing document.
  • Perforation and binding. Top-glued with a perforated tear line is standard; side-stitched books survive longer in a vehicle.

2. Shipment and carton labels

Three materials cover almost everything in UAE logistics. Plain paper labels without lamination are the volume workhorse — cheap, writeable with a marker, fine for indoor and covered handling. Glossy-laminated paper survives scuffing in a cage or roller conveyor. PVC/transparent is for labels that go on a shrink-wrapped pallet or anything that may see water. Our full range sits in sticker and label printing, and if you are labelling retail goods rather than cartons, read our product label printing guide for roll vs sheet.

The two sizes we print most for logistics are 8 × 12 cm (shipment/address labels, close to the standard courier label footprint) and 23 × 17 cm (large carton and pallet labels, enough room for barcode plus handling marks).

3. LPO books, payment and petty cash vouchers

Fleet operations burn through vouchers: fuel, spare parts, overtime cash, sub-contracted trips. These are the cheapest items on the list and the ones most often forgotten until finance is blocked. Budget AED 135–235 per pad line and order them together with your waybills to save a delivery.

4. Driver ID and vehicle-facing items

Printed lanyards and ID card holders start at AED 1.05 per piece for a double-hook cord lanyard and AED 2.45 for a 20 mm lanyard with hook, safety lock and buckle. For client-facing staff, business cards run AED 170 per 1,000 on matt-laminated 350 gsm.

5. Outer cartons and mailers

If you consolidate or repack, printed corrugated boxes come from our custom box printing range — 100 corrugated boxes at 35 × 25 × 10 cm with single-colour print is AED 1,500. For e-commerce fulfilment specifically, our mailer and shipping box guide breaks down board strength by weight.

The label curve is steeper than the NCR curve. An 8 × 12 cm label costs 41 fils at 1,000 pieces and under 6 fils at 50,000 — a 7× difference. Labels do not expire and they store flat in a small space, so unless your artwork changes (new phone number, new tariff code, rebrand), buying in 10,000s is almost always the right call. If a rebrand is on the horizon, read our reprint checklist before committing to a 50,000-piece run.

How to order without a second proof round

  1. Send a filled sample, not just a logo. Photograph or scan the form you use today, including handwriting. It tells us box sizes, field order and where drivers actually write.
  2. State the numbering range explicitly. "Start 20001, 10 books of 100 sets" removes all ambiguity. Say whether the number repeats on every part (it should).
  3. Specify the parts and the colours per part. 1 + 1 or 1 + 2, and which copy is white / pink / yellow.
  4. For labels, confirm the finished size and whether it must be writeable. Glossy lamination resists a ballpoint and most markers; if staff write on labels, choose unlaminated or matt.
  5. Allow the real lead time. Plan 3–5 working days for standard NCR and label runs, and longer for continuous computer stationery, which is boxed and collated. Same-week delivery to Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi is routine; see what is actually possible same-day if you are short.
  6. Set a reorder trigger. Reorder at 25% remaining, not at zero. A stockout stops deliveries, which costs far more than the print.

FAQ

How many sets are in an NCR book?

Standard books are 50 or 100 sets. The listings above are priced per book count (5 or 10 books), so confirm sets-per-book when you order and we will quote the exact build.

Can you match our existing waybill layout exactly?

Yes. Send a scan or a photo of a used form and we will rebuild it to the same field positions, so drivers and back-office staff see no change. This is the single biggest reason jobs go through without revisions.

Do you print barcodes and sequential numbers on labels?

Numbering and barcode printing are both available. For labels, variable data is best handled as a supplied data file (CSV) with the number range; for NCR books it is set by machine numbering during finishing.

Which label material survives outdoor storage in Dubai summer?

For cartons stored in covered areas, laminated paper is fine. For anything exposed to direct sun, humidity or wash-down, use PVC/vinyl — paper adhesive softens and curls at the edges after prolonged heat. Our die-cut sticker guide compares the materials in detail.

Is there a minimum order for NCR books?

The practical minimum is 5 books, because the plate and numbering setup is the same whether you print 5 or 500. Below that the per-book cost stops making sense.

Can one order cover multiple branches with different numbering?

Yes, and it is cheaper than separate orders. We split the number ranges per branch in the same production run and pack them separately so each location gets its own boxes.
