A complete in-store promotion in Dubai costs less than most people assume. Four round danglers are AED 220, a set of floor graphics starts at AED 95, fifteen A4 posters are AED 140, a free-standing Forex standee is AED 465 and a spring A-board for the shopfront is AED 900 — all VAT inclusive. This guide breaks down every POS format used in UAE retail and F&B, what each one is genuinely good at, the real prices, and how to brief a campaign so the whole set arrives together instead of in three separate deliveries.
POS — point of sale, or point of purchase — is the print that sits inside the store and moves the decision at the shelf. It is the cheapest marketing you will buy per impression, and the easiest to get wrong, because a dangler designed like a brochure is invisible from three metres away.
The seven POS formats that actually earn their place
1. Danglers — the ceiling layer
Danglers hang from the ceiling, a shelf edge or a rail, printed on both faces so the message reads whichever way they turn. Their advantage over every floor-standing item is that they take zero floor space, which in a Dubai supermarket or pharmacy aisle is the constraint that matters. They also work above head height, so they are still visible when the aisle is full of shoppers.
Two stock sizes: 4 round danglers at 15 × 15 cm for AED 220 — the set that marks one aisle end or a small café — and a single 60 × 60 cm round dangler for AED 210, which is the one you hang over a promotion island or a till point where it has to be seen from the store entrance. Both are full colour on both sides and come ready to hang with line or hooks. Delivery is five working days from artwork approval.
2. Shelf talkers and wobblers — the shelf-edge layer
A shelf talker is a small printed card that clips or sticks to the shelf rail, level with the product. A wobbler is the same idea on a flexible plastic stem so it bounces into the aisle and catches peripheral vision. Both are custom small-format work: they are priced by finished size, material, cutting shape and quantity, so they are quoted rather than sold off the shelf.
Practically, you specify them the same way you specify a die-cut sticker or a small rigid panel — see the die-cut sticker guide for how shape and cutting affect cost, and the paper, PVC or vinyl material guide for what survives being wiped down daily. Send the shelf rail dimensions, the quantity of facings and how long the promotion runs, and you get a quote the same day on WhatsApp +971 52 210 0909.
One design note that saves money: standardise on a single shelf-talker size across all your SKUs and print one run with different artwork rather than four sizes in four runs. Setup, not paper, is what makes short runs expensive.
3. Floor graphics — the layer nobody ignores
Floor graphic stickers from AED 95 are printed on soft white PVC film at 110 micron, with 160-micron floor lamination for foot traffic, in glossy or matt. They do three jobs well: directing traffic (arrows to a department or a new counter), announcing a sale at the entrance, and branding a footprint trail toward a specific fixture. Cutout options include square, rounded corners, fully custom shapes and custom with a border.
They are the highest-attention POS format per dirham in a supermarket, a pharmacy or an exhibition hall, because they sit in the one place a shopper is always looking. They need a clean, sealed floor to bond properly — polished concrete, tile or vinyl. Rough or dusty floors are a problem; tell us the floor type when you order. Our broader guide to window, wall and floor sticker branding covers the material choices in detail.
4. Posters — the wall and window layer
The cheapest high-impact POS you can buy. Fifteen custom A4 posters for AED 140 works out at under AED 10 each — enough to cover every till point, staff door and notice board in a mid-size store. For anything read from across the shop floor, step up to ten A1 sheets in four-colour for AED 270, which is AED 27 per large poster. A1 is the size that works in a window facing a mall walkway; A4 is for close-range, at-the-counter messages. The poster printing guide has the full size and paper breakdown.
5. Rigid boards and standees — the free-standing layer
When the message needs to stand on its own rather than hang or stick:
- Foam and Forex boards from AED 245 — printed rigid panels for menu boards, counter signs, easel displays and promotion graphics. Foam board (5 mm / 10 mm) is lighter and cheaper for short-term indoor use; Forex (2–10 mm rigid PVC) is the one that survives months of handling and humidity.
- Forex self standee at AED 465 — a free-standing printed panel with its own support, the workhorse of showroom and lobby promotions.
- Forex board cutout standee at AED 525 — cut to the shape of a product, a character or a hero image. Far more memorable than a rectangle for a product launch.
- Social media frame at AED 165 — the cheapest way to get customers photographing your brand at an activation.
6. A-boards — the pavement layer
A spring A-board is what pulls traffic in from outside. Three sizes: small at 80 × 115 cm for AED 900, medium at 90 × 190 cm for AED 1,000 and large at 110 × 260 cm for AED 1,110. The medium is the usual choice for a mall unit or a street-facing café — tall enough to read from across a walkway, narrow enough not to block the door. The spring base is the detail that matters outdoors in the UAE: it flexes in wind instead of going over, which a rigid frame does not.
7. Promotion counters and tables — the sampling layer
For sampling, demonstrations and mall activations: a PP promotion table at AED 395 for short campaigns that need to travel, or a promotion counter at AED 950 for a branded unit that will be used repeatedly across a season. If the activation also needs a backdrop, the backdrop and standee guide covers what pairs with each.

Three POS packages that make sense
Single store, one-week promotion — about AED 615. Four 15 cm danglers (AED 220) + fifteen A4 posters (AED 140) + a floor graphic set (from AED 95) + 100 paper stickers for packaging and bags (AED 230) minus overlap. Under AED 800, so add one more item to clear free Dubai delivery.
Mall unit, seasonal campaign — about AED 1,700. Medium spring A-board (AED 1,000) + one 60 cm dangler over the entrance (AED 210) + ten A1 posters (AED 270) + a Forex self standee inside (AED 465). This is the set that works for Ramadan, National Day, back-to-school or a Pink October push.
Mall activation or sampling week — about AED 2,105. Promotion counter (AED 950) + Forex cutout standee (AED 525) + social media frame (AED 165) + bunting (AED 525). Everything except the bunting is reusable across the year, which changes the cost per campaign dramatically by the third outing.
Designing POS that works at three metres
One message per piece. A dangler is read in under a second by someone walking. "30% OFF" works. "Enjoy great savings across our new autumn range" does not.
Mirror, do not split. Double-sided items rotate. Put the same key element on both faces rather than running a sentence across the two sides.
Size the type to the distance. Shelf talker read at 60 cm: 14–18 pt body is fine. Dangler read at 4 metres: the headline needs to be 80–100 mm tall. If you can read the design comfortably on your laptop at 100%, it is almost certainly too small for the aisle.
Keep the price legible and honest. In UAE retail the number is the message. Give it the largest element on the piece and make sure the terms are readable, not hidden in 6 pt.
Check your colours before you print. Bright brand reds and blues shift between screen and press. Our guide to CMYK vs RGB explains why, and the print-ready artwork checklist covers bleed and resolution so nothing comes back for revision.
How to order a POS set
- List the positions, not the products. "Entrance, two aisle ends, three till points, one window" is a brief we can price immediately. "Some danglers" is not.
- Send artwork or just the logo on WhatsApp +971 52 210 0909 or call 0522100909. Design is free — our designers lay out every piece in the set and send proofs for approval.
- Approve once, for the whole set. Reviewing all pieces together is what keeps the campaign visually consistent and gets it delivered in one drop.
- Allow five working days from final approval for standard POS items, plus delivery. Free delivery inside Dubai above AED 800; elsewhere in the UAE and the GCC quoted by address.
Prices include 5% VAT, payment is 100% in advance (card, bank transfer, or four instalments with Tabby or Tamara), and companies ordering on an LPO can set up a corporate account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for danglers in Dubai?
There is no long minimum — the smallest stocked sets are a single 60 × 60 cm dangler at AED 210 or four 15 × 15 cm danglers at AED 220. For a chain rollout across multiple branches, send the total quantity and we will quote at volume, which brings the per-piece cost down substantially.
How much do floor stickers cost, and will they survive a supermarket?
From AED 95. They are printed on soft white PVC film with 160-micron floor lamination specifically for foot traffic, so they hold up in supermarkets, pharmacies, showrooms and exhibition halls. The limiting factor is the floor, not the sticker: they need a smooth, sealed, clean surface to bond to. Tell us the floor type when ordering.
How long does POS printing take in Dubai?
Five working days from final artwork approval for standard items such as danglers, with larger structural items quoted individually. The clock starts at approval, not at enquiry — which is why sending artwork early matters more than choosing a faster courier. If your date is tighter than that, see same-day and next-day printing in Dubai.
Shelf talker or wobbler — which converts better?
A wobbler interrupts; a shelf talker informs. Use wobblers sparingly on the two or three lines you are actually pushing, because an aisle full of wobblers cancels itself out. Use shelf talkers broadly for price, claim or provenance information that a shopper reads once they have already stopped.
Can I reuse POS items for the next campaign?
Structural items yes, printed graphics no. A-boards, promotion counters and standee frames are built to be reused — you reprint only the graphic panel. Danglers, floor graphics, posters and stickers are campaign-specific. If you run four promotions a year, buying the structure once and reprinting graphics is the cheaper pattern by a wide margin.
Do you deliver POS outside Dubai?
Yes, across the UAE and the GCC, quoted by address and quantity. Delivery inside Dubai is free on orders above AED 800. We have emirate-specific guides for Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with realistic lead times.
